Choose PNG, JPG, or WebP by use case
PNG is the safest choice for logos, icons, UI assets, screenshots with text, and anything that needs a transparent background. JPG is better for flat previews without transparency. WebP is useful when you need smaller web assets and the target platform supports it.
- Use PNG for transparent logos and sharp interface graphics.
- Use JPG only when a solid background is acceptable.
- Use WebP for web delivery when compatibility is known.
